Scenario
VascoGroup private practice, Port Colborne
You are a Registered Psychotherapist in a group practice in Port Colborne. Vasco Pereira, 64, a retired canal lock operator, has seen you for seven months for depression after a back injury ended his career, and he is steadily better. You need surgery and will be off for about twelve weeks, from three weeks today.
When you tell him, he frowns. 'Surgery for what? Is it cancer?'
