Scenario
AmaanCommunity health centre, Mississauga
You are a Registered Psychotherapist at a Mississauga community health centre. Its nurse practitioner referred Amaan, 26, for insomnia. He calls his Muslim faith the most settled part of his life. You know Islam from one workshop.
In session two he says he is gay, has never said so aloud, and his parents are arranging marriage introductions. 'I'm not asking you to fix that. Can we just do the sleep thing?'
