Scenario
OksanaEmployee assistance program, Ottawa
You are a Registered Psychotherapist with a six-session employee assistance program (EAP). Oksana, 39, a personal support worker in long-term care, originally from Ukraine, was referred by her manager for 'workplace stress'. You taught her grounding last session but have not taken a trauma history.
In session three, describing an outbreak night shift, she stops mid-sentence. Her breathing is rapid, her gaze fixed. She does not respond to her name.
