Scenario
EstelaCommunity Health Centre, Scarborough
You are a Registered Psychotherapist at a Scarborough community health centre. A nurse practitioner refers Estela, 43: 'Generalized anxiety. Chest tightness, insomnia, cardiac workup normal. CBT?'
Estela, from the Philippines, is a live-in caregiver for an elderly couple. Her work permit names her employer; she needs fourteen more months of qualifying work to apply for permanent residence. She wakes at three most mornings. 'Can you teach me the breathing?'
