Scenario
AnalynYouth mental health agency, Prescott
You are a Registered Psychotherapist at a youth mental health agency in Prescott that serves clients until their 18th birthday. For a year you have seen Analyn Dizon, 17, for panic attacks that kept her home from school most of last year; she has been back full-time since September. She turns 18 in eleven weeks. The adult waitlist is about six months.
When you mention her birthday, she freezes. 'Wait. So you're kicking me out?'
