Practice case

Area 6 · Professional practice

Read the scenario, then work each section as you would on the exam. When you check a section you see every option's weight and reasoning. A mock exam shows nothing until the end.

Scenario

InesSolo private practice, Oakville

You are a Registered Psychotherapist in solo practice in Oakville. Your fee schedule, given to every client, includes a sliding scale under a written policy.

Ines Kovač, 29, a doctoral student, is in her second session for anxiety and perfectionism; her student plan covers part of the cost. She asks: 'My friend's therapist discounts ten sessions paid up front. Could you? It would help me budget.'

A clinical simulation in the format of the CRPO Registration Examination: 6 sections, 2 Information Gathering and 4 Decision Making, about 14 minutes. Each section unfolds what happens next; every selection is final, and every option is weighted from +3 to -3, as on the exam.
