Scenario
DaleSolo private practice, Marathon, northwestern Ontario
You are a Registered Psychotherapist in Marathon, the only one between Wawa and Nipigon; the nearest alternative is two hours' drive, or video.
The nursing station refers Dale, 52, for panic attacks since a fatal mill accident. Dale runs the only garage, services your car and coaches your nephew's hockey team. His wife sits with you on the library board. Leaving your first session, Dale offers next week's brake work free: 'call it even.'
