Scenario
BeatrizCommunity health centre, Brampton
You are a Registered Psychotherapist at a Brampton community health centre. A midwife referred Beatriz, seven weeks postpartum with Lucas, for anxiety and poor sleep.
For three weeks she has pictured her own hands holding Lucas under the bath water. She would never do it; the images sicken her. She has stopped bathing him and not told her husband, Rui, why. 'Are you going to call Children's Aid?'
