Practice case

Area 2 · Working relationship

Read the scenario, then work each section as you would on the exam. When you check a section you see every option's weight and reasoning. A mock exam shows nothing until the end.

Scenario

QuentinCommunity mental health agency, Pembroke

You are a Registered Psychotherapist at a Pembroke mental health agency. Quentin Rhodes, 24, is autistic and referred for anxiety and 'escalating meltdowns'. His mother, Donna, booked and attends.

Donna says, 'He won't talk to strangers. I'll tell you everything, and I'll need to know what he says.' Quentin, in headphones, types and shows you: 'I can talk. Just not fast.'

About this case

A clinical simulation in the format of the CRPO Registration Examination: 6 sections, 2 Information Gathering and 4 Decision Making, about 16 minutes. Each section unfolds what happens next; every selection is final, and every option is weighted from +3 to -3, as on the exam.
