Scenario
PauletteCommunity counselling agency, Cobourg
You are a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) at a Cobourg counselling agency, untrained in substance use, in required weekly supervision with Gordon, an RP. Paulette Leblanc, 71, a retired school secretary, sees you for grief since her husband Roger died. She lives alone with his dog.
In session six her jaw is bruised. 'I tripped. I've been having wine most evenings. Don't tell my daughter Chantal. She thinks I can't manage.'
